Acceptable Use Policy

Effective September 15, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to every Sage user, account owner, team administrator, and invited user.

Academic integrity

  • Use Sage to learn, practice, brainstorm, understand, and improve work.
  • Do not use Sage to violate an exam rule, evade proctoring, fabricate citations, impersonate another student, or submit prohibited AI work as your own.
  • Do not upload confidential tests, answer keys, or restricted course materials without authorization.

Safety and legality

  • No illegal activity, fraud, threats, harassment, hate, exploitation, or encouragement of self-harm.
  • No sexual content involving minors or any content that exploits or endangers a child.
  • No instructions intended to facilitate violent wrongdoing, malware, credential theft, or unauthorized access.
  • No collection or exposure of another person's private information without permission.

Platform integrity

  • Do not bypass safeguards, limits, credits, authentication, or payment controls.
  • Do not scrape, crawl, reverse engineer, overload, probe, or disrupt the Service except as expressly authorized.
  • Do not resell or share accounts or use automation to consume credits unfairly.
  • Do not falsely claim that AI output is verified, professionally reviewed, or entirely human-created.

Enforcement

Sage may remove content, limit features, suspend accounts, terminate accounts, preserve evidence, or report unlawful conduct when reasonably necessary. Enforcement decisions may consider severity, repetition, user age, intent, and safety risk.
